Welcome to the City of Brotherly Love, Sarah Palin
I think.
Good thing she didn’t show up on Battery Night.
Guess the Terrorist
OK, wingnuts, you asked for it. Here’s a little story about rehabilitation.
Once upon a time, way back in the 60s, there was a fiery young man trying to turn around the brain-dead way his country was being run. Black people didn’t have a whole hell of a lot of rights, and he wanted to change that. Trouble was, respectfully lobbying the government for change was about as useful as having a lead flotation device in shark-infested waters.
So he and a bunch of his friends got together and decided to start bombing military installations and government targets. Needless to say, this did not ingratiate himself upon the powers that were, and they picked up him up real fast. He was denounced as a Communist and a terrorist and was carted off to jail for a very long time. And jails in his country were not pleasant affairs at all.
After many years, though, and not a small amount of struggle and despair, the man was released from prison. His name and character are heralded all over the world as a champion of civil rights and a fighter against tyranny. He was awarded many honors in his lifetime and even became a foremost community leader in his own right.
Who was this man, this fearsome terrorist who needed to be locked up for the safety of his fellow countryman, only to be thought of as a great man later in life?
