Hey, remember when the rumor going around about Obama was that he was some kind of cult leader? That his supporters were one short sip from a skull away from killing in the name of Kali? Remember how “serious journalists” used to wonder if there would be race riots in this country if Obama lost?
Those days almost seem like a pleasant dream now.
For those of you of the Caucasian persuasion who are unaware of the current buzzwords, “hooligan” = “black people”. I say it often, but: if you haven’t been reading David Neiwert’s excellent blog, then the sight of this modern beer hall putsch probably snuck up on you.
I’m sure that, by the time I’ve woken up in the morning, someone of the Doughy Pantload’s caliber will have explained that this scene is in no way reminiscent of popular rallies of the 1930s, because only socialists can be fascists.
