I was thisclose to winning a bet that one of the big GOP fatheads would drop a N-bomb on Obama before the end of the RNC. Lynn Westmoreland was almost there.

Georgia Republican Rep. Lynn Westmoreland used the racially-tinged term “uppity” to describe Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama Thursday.

Westmoreland was discussing vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin’s speech with reporters outside the House chamber and was asked to compare her with Michelle Obama.

“Just from what little I’ve seen of her and Mr. Obama, Sen. Obama, they’re a member of an elitist-class individual that thinks that they’re uppity,” Westmoreland said.

Damn it, Westmoreland: finish the slur. I’ve got lunch at a fancy Greek place riding on this.

Typical Republican. Never could follow through on anything.

If the name of that ignorant racist wingnut sounds familiar, you can thank Stephen Colbert for that.

Nice to see his IQ hasn’t experienced any sudden upsurge in the last two years.
